How do you change people’s perception of CO2 from a harmful waste product to a useful resource instantly? This $20 Million global competition asked participants to develop breakthrough technologies that would convert CO₂ emissions from power plants and industrial facilities into valuable products.

The client asked us to avoid using smoke as a design element for fear that it would create a negative connotation as this campaign was to be optimistic and hopeful.
We disagreed and took this iconic visual and transformed it, making it sexy, hopeful, controllable and powerful. The client agreed.

The simple line “CO2 is not waste” forced the audience to look again. Event graphics and a landing page were also created
